Indonesian Polytama Propindo, a major producer of polypropylene (PP) in the country, puts the planned repair polypropylene (PP) in the factory in Balongane (Balongan, west Java, Indonesia), told ICIS company source.

Previously, the company reported that production at this plant with capacity of 150 thousand. Tons of PP per year must be stopped August 1, 2016 in accordance with the schedule of closing for repairs cracker company Pertamina capacity of 250 ths. Tons of ethylene per year on the same site as as it provides the raw material for polypropylene PT Polytama plant.

It is expected that the maintenance of the plant PP Balongane will last for 20-30 days. At the same time it is not yet known when the cracker company Pertamina will be closed. The company was not available for comment on the stop date.

PT Polytama Propindo was founded in 1993 as a major producer of polypropylene in Indonesia. The company’s factory in Balongane in its production uses one of the most advanced technology for the production of PP – Spheripol – company LyondellBasell.
