Rubbish “kill” bacteria
In Bogodukhov Kharkov region in Ukraine earned the first eco-friendly complex on municipal solid waste management. It was erected on the site of dumps, which often had fires, which threatened the city environmental disaster.
According to the regional state administration, at the site we have installed equipment to sort and recycle the garbage. All organic residues compost, using special bacteria. As a result, over time the waste will become fertilizer. Moreover, the landfill is equipped with autonomous heating system running on waste. During the year the landfill will be able to accept and process 65-70 million cubic meters of debris.

The regional governor Igor Rainin said that in the region to build 11 such sites and give them a concession to companies willing to establish separate collection of waste and to purchase necessary equipment.
