Russian scientists have developed environmental change polyethylene
The new material will decompose in soil from two months to a year, and in the process of decomposition of the biofilm can saturate the ground with nitrogen.
The characteristics of biodegradable film is not inferior to polyethylene. Scientists use offers its pharmaceutical, medical, veterinary, food or cosmetics industry. Furthermore, it is used for production of food wrapping films, capsules, packaging materials.
The film can be transparent, matt, colored (due to food dyes), sealed or permeable oxygen.
The development team engaged in the project for four years. The cost of the new material compared with polyethylene will be higher by 15-20%, but, according to the developers, the film does not require additional processing costs.
Scientists have already received several patents for his invention, now they are engaged in the search for investors.
