Corruption component activities of an enterprise demonstrates the statistics: the volume of waste recycled in 2014 amounted to only 4% (the average for European countries – 40%).

In March 2015 the Cabinet of Ministers № 915 reversed the decision, which is being implemented through the recycling of waste “Ukrekoresursy.”

Liquidation “Ukrekoresursov,” says co-founder of the NGO EasyBusiness Nikolai Gaidai, this is only the first step of reform of the market recovery.

“The next step – taking a long time to develop a business and experts in the draft law on packaging and packaging waste, which will introduce in Ukraine a so-called model of extended producer responsibility (EPR), successfully operate in 27 European countries” – explained Nikolay Gaidai for LigaBusinessInform.

ROP provides for liability of producers of certain products for the disposal of the packaging after use and allocation of resources to address the problem of disposal. For the implementation of the ROP, Ukraine needs to take a number of EU Directives.
