Prices of LLDPE film grades (LDL) fell in China this week in connection with the drop in prices in the futures market of the polymer, said ICIS market sources.

Thus, spot prices of film LDL brands in the Chinese market on Thursday were on the level of USD1 080-1 130 per ton CFR China, which USD5-30 per tonne lower compared to July 25th.

Market sentiment deteriorated due to the drop in LDL futures, which resulted in a decline in trading activity this week, market sources noted.

As reported by the MRC, in the first half of July, the price of LDL film brands in China were at USD1 100-1 160 per tonne CFR China.
