Against this background, many European manufacturers have announced a proportional increase in the May export prices of polypropylene (PP) for the markets of the CIS countries, according to a price review ICIS-MRC.

Negotiations on the May level of prices for European PP began on Wednesday. Many market participants have concluded that in many cases local producers went to a proportional increase in the price of propylene polypropylene higher export prices. At the same time, there are manufacturers who prolonged the April prices for the current month.

This week, the May transaction concerning the supply of propylene homopolymer (PP-homo) were discussed in a fairly large range EUR970-1 065 per tonne, FCA, which is EUR 15 per tonne higher than the price level in April. And if in April from individual manufacturers were limited export quotas PP homo-raffia grades, in May of this anymore.

Transactions regarding the supply of block copolymers of propylene (PP-block) are discussed in the range of EUR1 070 – 1 135 per tonne, FCA. Negotiations for May shipments stat-propylene copolymer (PP-random) are conducted within EUR1 110-1 175 per tonne, FCA.
