In particular, Andreas Lear noted that in 2016 BASF in Ukraine increased sales by 12%, and the main divisions of the company showed growth of more than 10%: “In 2016, BASF in Ukraine managed to achieve good results for several reasons. Firstly, last year we launched several partner projects with leading Ukrainian companies. Secondly, the situation in the key industries for the BASF has stabilized, and in some industries even growth has been observed. Another important factor is the development of the regions, in particular, of Western and Central Ukraine. ”

Last year BASF business in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Vinnytsia and Kiev regions grew by 15-20%. According to Andreas Lear, the reason for such growth in these areas is attracting foreign investment and an entrepreneurial approach to management. BASF sees a serious prospect of further development of its business in the regions.

“BASF sees many factors for the further growth of Ukraine: a promising market where there are unoccupied niches, rising consumption levels, as well as new directions for export, which are opened by our Ukrainian partners. I would like to note that BASF, for its part, is making every effort to open new opportunities for Ukrainian business and to strengthen bilateral relations between our countries, “Andre said. “Given the resumption of social and economic development, in particular the growth of key economic sectors for us, BASF in Ukraine will be able to achieve the same level of growth in 2017 or even improve its results.”
