Firefighters of the Poltava region were engaged in extinguishing a fire at a city dump.

Firefighters in the Poltava region took four hours to extinguish a fire at the municipal solid waste dump. It is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Poltava region.
The message about the fire in the territory of the Poltava city dump of solid household waste near the village Makukhovka of the Poltava region arrived on the night of May 22 at 2:40 am Kyiv time. The rescue team promptly arrived at the scene.

Experts who arrived at the scene of the fire determined that the garbage burns on the territory of 500 square meters. The fire was localized at 06:50. However, at the moment fire extinguishing continues.

In total, six personnel of the 4th fire and rescue unit and one unit of equipment participated in the elimination of fire.

The cause of the fire is now installed by experts.
