European manufacturers have gone to a serious decline in the prices of polypropylene in August

Negotiations on the July prices of European PP began in the current Monday. Many market participants have concluded that the majority of manufacturers have come at a more significant price decline in the current month than the reduction of the price of the monomer.

The week of the transaction relative to the August supply of propylene homopolymer (PP-Homo) were discussed in the range of EUR1 150-1 280 per tonne, FCA, whereas the month before the deal was agreed in the range of EUR1 300-1 400 per tonne, FCA. Some companies reported that some European manufacturers plan to begin deliveries of PP in Ukraine not earlier than second half of the month. Also there are manufacturers who still have limited offers PP Homo raffia grade.

Transactions in respect of the supply block copolymers of propylene (PP-block) were discussed in the range of EUR1 260 – 1 340 per tonne, FCA, on average EUR120 per tonne below the level of July.
