People are on duty day and night
After a night visit of eight lorry trucks from Lviv, residents of the village of Mologa Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district of the Odessa region are on duty at the dump even at night to prevent repeated dumping of waste.
It was there, in the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district of the Odessa region, in early March, garbage was unloaded with documents confirming its Lviv origin. According to the villagers, when the drivers were driving, they set fire to some of the garbage. However, after examining only one pile of waste, journalists actually found papers and items from Lviv – envelopes with the address of Lviv region, brochures from the local district social service and so on.
This garbage was brought under the cover of night. First two trucks, then six more.
A dump in the village was built three years ago – they specially chose a remote place and dug a pit. A small village it would be enough for another 20 years.
“Here the children are walking, next to a football field, only the wind will change, and then the stink comes, the dirt, the packets are flying,” Elena Molota, a resident of Mologa, said.
At the same time, the head of Mology’s village council, Anna Gavrilyuk, said that no documents had been signed to remove additional garbage from their village. The official learned about the fact that the waste was brought from the villagers.
To prevent repeated discharges of waste, people are on duty at the landfill even at night.
“We guard the landfill, alternate at night. The landfill is intended for our residents, nobody has the right to bring garbage to the landfill without agreement, without an agreement,” said Anna Gavrilyuk.
As the deputy of Belgorod-Dnistrovsky district council Igor Kozhuhar told, according to the agreement Lviv garbage had to be unloaded in the village of Sofiyivka – there they planned to take more than twenty trucks. After the local residents mutinied, they did not bring the waste. Most likely, because of this debris scattered in nearby villages.
“The rest of the waggons that were not taken, sent to us, it turns out.” How, we do not know yet, we find out: for us the most important thing is that they do not go to us anymore, “the deputy said.
Odessa journalists turned to the Lviv City Hall, where they were informed: garbage was actually exported to the Odessa region, but only to those polygons with which the agreement was made.
Recall, on the night of March 16 in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, detained five wagons with rubbish from Lviv.
The mayor of Lvov, Andrey Sadovoy, may be dismissed from office in the near future.
