334768977May ethylene contract price in Europe was agreed at EUR40 per tonne higher than the level in April. However, European manufacturers of high density polyethylene (HDPE) went to the decline in export prices for polymer markets of the CIS countries, according to a price review ICIS-MRC.

Negotiations on the export prices of the European polyethylene (PE) began earlier this month, many market participants have concluded a decrease in export prices from the European PND manufacturers in spite of the growth of the cost of ethylene. In some cases, the decline in prices amounted to EUR30 per tonne.

Transactions for May PND shipment consisted of EUR1 210-1 280 per tonne range, FCA, while the April transactions were concluded in the range of EUR1 240-1 305 per tonne, FCA. From the individual producers have limitations in supply, but in general contracting serious problems with PE is not marked.
