The prices of pipe polyethylene (PE) in the Middle East continue to decline, according to ICIS.

In November, pipe PE prices in the region were at the level of USD1,050 per tonne, DEL GCC and East Med. But buyers were in no hurry to buy material at these prices.

Buyer resistance and weak sales put pressure on offers, the value of which fell to USD1,000 per tonne, DEL GCC and East Med for December shipments.

According to the ICIS-MRC Price Review, in Russia in the HDPE pipe market, demand for finished products has seriously decreased since mid-November. Some small processors suspended their work until February, large consumers also significantly reduced their purchases due to poor sales of finished products. In the south, proposals for the supply of natural PE100 reached 88,000 rubles. per ton, including VAT and with delivery.
