Ukraine has taken a clear course towards the introduction of a closed cycle economy, which corresponds to European and world practice. This and other issues will be discussed within the framework of the conference: “The new waste management policy is the way to a cyclical economy” dedicated to the implementation of the National Waste Management Strategy until 2030. The conference will present the draft Framework Law on Waste, the National Waste Management Plan, the principles of sectoral laws (electrical and electronic equipment, batteries and packaging). In accordance with the proposed concept, Ukraine should be guided by the concept of 3R – reduce, reuse, recycle (reduction, reuse, recycling). This reduction of waste and sorting, this reuse of plastic, glass, aluminum, waste paper and the like. Having chosen this path, Ukraine will be able not only to solve the large-scale problem with waste, but also to make the economy more efficient. The participants of the conference will discuss what legislative changes should ensure the implementation of these plans.
