Industrial production growth in Ukraine in March 2016 is 4.8% compared to the same month of 2015, while in February the figure was at 7.6%, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
According to reports, in March 2016 compared to February 2016 industrial production index was 106.8% (taking into account the seasonal factor – 98.7%) and March 2015 – 104.8% (adjusted for the effect of calendar days – 104, 2% ).
In February-March 2016 compared with January-March 2015 this figure was 103.7%, including in mining and quarrying – 104.2%, processing – 104.4%, electricity supply and distribution, gas and conditioned air – 100.6%.
In February 2016 the first time in three years, recorded growth of industrial production versus the corresponding month of the previous year.
As reported by the MRC, according to the State Statistics Service, in 2015 industrial production in Ukraine decreased by 13.4% compared with the previous year.
Previously, it was also noted that industrial production in Ukraine has grown steadily since the early 2000s. In 2008, volumes decreased by -5.0%, and the maximum fall in industrial production was in crisis in 2009 – 20.6%. After the recovery growth in 2010 and 2011 (12.0% and 8.0%) in 2012, industrial production fell by 0.7%, in 2013 the fall of the rate accelerated to -4.3%, and in 2014 – to -10.1%.
