Recycled_Polyethylene_PE_Polypropylene_PP_Granules_G03-250x250February ethylene contract price in Europe was agreed at EUR70 per tonne lower than in January. However, many European manufacturers of polyethylene (PE) went to a substantial reduction in export prices for polymer markets of the CIS countries, cheaper than the monomer, according to a price review ICIS-MRC.

Reduction of polyethylene EUR70-150 per ton, while the most seriously depreciated low-density polyethylene (HDPE).

Transactions on February shipment HDPE discussed this week in the range of EUR 1 150 – 1 225 per tonne, FCA, while the January deals were in the range of EUR 1 290-1 345 per tonne, FCA. As some market participants point out, there are certain restrictions on the timing of shipments from individual manufacturers, but generally offer sufficient polyethylene.

In February, there are no restrictions in exports by European manufacturers of high-density polyethylene (LDPE). Transactions are mainly discussed in the range of EUR 1 150 – 1 220 per tonne, FCA, while the previous month deals were in the range of EUR1 300-1 350 per tonne, FCA.

Least of all among European manufacturers fell linear polyethylene (LDL), in particular metallocene. Transactions regarding the February shipments are discussed in the range of EUR 1 400 – 1 480 per tonne, which is EUR70-90 per tonne below January levels.
