In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a major fire broke out in a solid waste dump. Information about the fire came to the rescuers at 13:37 on Thursday, May 10. The fire was discovered in the open area of the landfill for the processing of solid household waste, on the street of the Smolenskaya Dniprovsky district, the city of Podgorodnoye, the press service of the State Emergency Service reported.
Fire and fire-fighting equipment of the 18th, 31st, 60th state fire-rescue units, parts of special fire equipment of the State Institution of the State Emergency of Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk region were sent to the indicated address.
The fire is now being liquidated in a landfill whose area is approximately 1500 square meters. m.
The cause of the fire is established by law enforcement agencies.
To eliminate the fire attracted 17 personnel and 4 units of fire-fighting equipment.
