Kazanorgsintez (KOS, a member of the TAIF group) has begun to halt the production of high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) for scheduled preventive maintenance, according to the ICIS-MRC Price Review.

According to the representatives of the company, from April 10, a consecutive stop for scheduled maintenance of the 3rd stage of the Kazanorgsintez LDPE began. Full shutdown of the production of high-density polyethylene on this line is planned to be carried out until tomorrow. Simple production will be long and will be almost a month. The annual production capacity of LDPE 3rd stage is 140 thousand tons.

It is also worth noting that the following planned preventive downtime at Russian LDPE manufacturers are planned in July. The Angarsk ZP and Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat will stop production at routine maintenance.
