The largest in Ukraine, the mining and metals company Metinvest is exploring options for creating a line for the production of rolled products with polymer coatings, regional media reports with reference to the message of Marketing Director of the Metinvest Group Roman Kurashev during the VI National Conference of Steelworkers.

According to him, one of the options is the organization of two lines of coloring with a capacity of 120-150 thousand tons each.

In addition, he said, the company is exploring the option or paint the existing galvanizing, or install a new galvanizing unit with a capacity of 300 thousand tons in addition to the two lines of polymer coating.

Roman Kurashev also noted that the current capacity of the domestic market for rolled products with polymer coating is 300 thousand tons.

“The market is developing dynamically, in a few years it will be about 400 thousand tons of total consumption,” he stressed.
