Yuri Griban is suspected of intending to illegally receive from the budget more than 10 million hryvnia.
Today Halytsky District Court of Lviv decided to take into custody for two months the director of the firm AVE-Lviv Yuri Griban with the introduction of an alternative to the pledge in the amount of 480 thousand UAH.
According to the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Lviv region, the court chose such a preventive measure at the request of the supervisory authority, which investigates the production of theft of funds from the city budget of Lviv during the export of waste to other regions.
On this fact a criminal case was instituted under Article 139 (misappropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The prosecutor’s office suspects Yuri Griban in the possession of 600 thousand UAH from the city budget of Lviv and attempted to take possession of another 9.5 million USD, intended by the city council for the export and disposal of domestic waste.

As Korrespondent.net reported, earlier in Lviv, a scheme for illegal removal of garbage was disclosed. Carriers filed documents on behalf of fictitious enterprises about the alleged acceptance and disposal of waste, but in fact dumped garbage in the places that had not been provided for it throughout Ukraine.
