Ukraine’s first waste recycling plant is planned to be built in Kiev in three years. This is reported on the website of the KSCA.

According to the decision “On the budget of the city of Kiev for 2019,” the first in the country and in the city of Kiev are planning to build a recycling plant before the end of 2021. The cost of building such a plant is estimated at 3.7 billion USD. For this, the city authorities want to attract an investor who will help build such a plant.

For design work from the city budget intend to allocate 4 million USD. As noted, by the end of this year, the readiness level of the facility should be 0.1%.

Now Kiev garbage is taken to landfill number 5, which is on the verge of ecological disaster. It should have been closed, but Kiev didn’t have an alternative during this time.
