Ethylene imports into Europe in September this year fell by 39.1% compared with the same month last year to 33.1 thousand. tons, ICIS reported, citing data from the statistical agency Eurostat.

The volume of ethylene imports decreased in the current year, as there is no need for a large supply of material from foreign markets, as in 2015, when the European market offer a limited ethylene was observed, which caused a wave of large volumes of imports.

According ScanPlast MRC, the Russian PE market in the first nine months of 2016 estimated polyethylene consumption amounted to 1421.7 thous. Tons, which is 9% more than in 2015.
