Spot prices of high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) in the European market were stable last week compared to a week ago, ICIS reported.

So, quotes for this material last week were at the level of EUR1 160-1 190 per tonne, FD NWE (North-Western Europe).

Earlier it was noted that spot prices for low-density polyethylene (HDPE) and quotes for butene-branded linear polyethylene (LLDPE) C4 in Europe also showed stability last week. The spot quotes of HDPE in this region were in the range EUR1,070-1,110 per tonne, FD NWE, while the quotes for LDL-C4 were at EUR1-100-1,150 per tonne, FD NWE.

According to the Price Review of ICIS-MRC, in the Russian market, Kazanorgsintez continues to limit the supply of LDPE to the domestic market by exporting and reducing capacity utilization. And this factor, contrary to the general situation, leads to an increase in the cost of the Kazan LDPE, while polyethylene (PE) from other manufacturers continues to become cheaper.
