The spot prices of injection molds of low-pressure polyethylene (HDPE) in Europe are under a bearish pressure in November, ICIS reported.
Some market sources said that they need to give a price offer below EUR1,000 per tonne, FD NWE (North-Western Europe) to sell the material in the market of injection molded HDPE, in order to be able to conclude deals, while most other market players marked the range of spot quotes in the region of EUR1,000 per ton.
In recent months, prices on the HDPE market have been among the lowest in the general polyethylene (PE) market, and prices for injection molded HDPE grades were generally very low.
“Manufacturers seem to be under a lot of pressure on quotes of injection molded HDPE brands,” the buyer said.
According to the Price Review of ICIS-MRC, the situation on the Russian market of blow molded and injection molded HDPE is quite stable, there is no excess supply, and in some positions, producers managed to prolong October prices for the current month.
