The company LyondellBasell Industries (LBI), the world’s largest producer of polyolefins, has developed two new grades of polypropylene (PP), which will be used in medicine, the company said.

The report notes that the feature of the new brand is a homopolymer HP548N improved stiffness and it is well suited for injection molding technology. Whereas the other mark – RP315M copolymer has the best balance of mechanical and optical properties for cast film applications.

These brands belong to the series Purell PP and have been developed as part of the strategy of expanding the product line.

Stamps Purell PP series are mainly used in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, as well as in laboratory diagnostics.
