Lotte Chemical Titan, “daughter” one of the leading Korean chemical company Lotte Chemical, stopped production of the film of high density polyethylene (HDPE) in Pasir Gudang (Pasir Gudang, Malaysia) for repairs, according to ICIS.
Plant capacity of 115 thous. Tons of HDPE film per year has been closed due to the scheduled maintenance of the gas reservoir, which supplies the feedstock needed for the production of HDPE film, the source said, without giving details of the operations.
However, other types of HDPE (blow molding and for the production of yarns) will be produced in the normal mode.
Another plant for the production of HDPE on the same site capacity of 220 th. Tons per year and continues to work.
As reported earlier MRC, Lotte Chemical Titan in June last year stopped this line for the production of HDPE on preventive maintenance.
