Ineos closes the production of PE and PP for repairs in August

The company closes in August for the repair of the cracking plant with capacity 740 thousand tons of ethylene per year in Grangemouth six to seven weeks. The company plans to start using North American ethane as feedstock and builds a large storage tank of ethane at the production site in Grangemouth.
It is planned that the production of PE and PP will be closed for the same period. The production capacity of PE in Grangemouth is 320 thousand tons, and the capacity of the line PP – 285 thousand tons.
