According to the company, the new technology based on a reaction molding fast-hardening epoxy resin Araldite produces composite bearing component over time cycles per minute without any further treatment after curing. The technology can be used for mass processing of thermosetting plastics, for example, in the automotive industry.
Applied currently Araldite system for mass production is used in the BMW i series. Curing time is two minutes at 130 ° C, which gives a complete cycle time of two and a half minutes. The latest version of the material can be processed and at 150 ° C, and cured for 30 seconds at 140 ° C. This means that the total cycle time to obtain the finished part is only one minute.
