February ethylene contract price in Europe was agreed at EUR70 per tonne below January. However, many European manufacturers have gone to a serious decline in the price of polyethylene pipe (HDPE) for the markets of the CIS countries, according to a price review ICIS-MRC.

Negotiations on the February supply pipe IPA CIS markets began Monday. Many market participants have reported a serious decline in export prices for European producers, in some cases, cheaper comes to EUR100 per tonne. At the same time the price difference between polyethylenes class PE80 and PE100 is virtually absent.

Transactions on PE 80 February shipments were discussed this week in the range of EUR 1 230 – 1 260 per tonne, FCA, while the January deals were in the range of EUR 1 290-1 330 per tonne, FCA.

Transactions concerning the supply PE100 discussed in the range EUR 1 230 – 1 280 per tonne, FCA, despite the fact that last month deals were in the range of EUR 1 330-1 380 per tonne, FCA.
