According to the company’s customers, Tomskneftekhim on Friday 28th August stopped the production of high-pressure polyethylene for scheduled maintenance. The repair will last about 30 days. Stopping capacity for the production of polypropylene will be at the end of this week and will last about two weeks.

As mentioned earlier, the terms in the first seven months of the current year made 153,3 thousand tons of LDPE and 81,9 thousand tons of polypropylene that is 2% and 7% respectively compared to 2014.

LLC “Tomskneftekhim” – a subsidiary of SIBUR, and one of the largest Russian producers of polymers of polypropylene and polyethylene of high pressure. The company includes the production of monomers of ethylene and propylene (installed capacity: 300 tons and 139 thousand tons per year, respectively), providing the raw materials for the production of polymers: polypropylene (capacity of 130 thousand tons per year) and high-density polyethylene (power – 245 thousand tons per year)
