In the calculation of the garbage truck, according to Sergienko, there are so many components that you can wind the tariff as you like. For example, in the elite neighborhoods of the city, garbage is collected in a minimal amount, because people eat, mainly in restaurants, cafes and buy semi-finished products. And what they throw out – packaging, paper and plastic bags. And in poorer areas, garbage is very large in garbage – residents prepare food from scratch. That is, the origin of the garbage and its amount are very different.

Until recently, the tariff for handling garbage was “sitting” in the maintenance fee for the house and the local areas. In the law on housing and communal services, which was to enter into force on June 10, the tariff for the removal and disposal of garbage should be calculated separately. This was told by ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services Alexei Kucherenko.

“This tariff was prepared by the administration, which a year ago raised 2.5 times the tariffs for house maintenance for Kyivans. And just as we were convinced that this is economically justified and we will receive a qualitatively new service. I personally have not received, like 99% of my friends. Now we can not understand the details, since we do not understand the entire cost price, do not understand what is happening at the landfill – whether there is recultivation of household waste, whether the investment program is being implemented or not.
