The mayor of Lviv Andrey Sadovoy plans to go through all the stages of the agreement in order to begin recultivation of the Gribovička dump, which will last at least 5 years.

“Now the main thing is for us to build the plant qualitatively this year. A quality factory, quality work at the landfill, and there is a very large amount of work performed – degassing, purification of the filtrate. Today, 40 cm of filtrate fell. Work system. Now we are finishing work on the first stage, because the relevant tender procedures have passed. Now the projectors are doing the project on reclamation. Here a big gratitude to the French government, the company “Aegis”, because their recommendations formed the basis of those documents, which we are now working on both the plant and the reclamation. According to the mayor, if there is assistance of all state structures that have the authority to do this, they plan to start work this year.

“This is one of the largest landfills in our country. If there are no obstacles, then this year we can start. Unfortunately, there is still a court ban on the execution of works. The court is scheduled for next month. We will find mutual understanding with all state services. These works should be started as soon as possible.
