Today, by tradition – at the end of the week, we bring to your attention the announcement of the most important and interesting (in our opinion) events (exhibitions, conferences, etc.) in the chemical industry and the polymer industry. In this story we will talk about those events that will be held before the end of September 2017 and such (the most interesting) event two: the exhibition “Oil and Gas. Fuel and Energy Complex 2017 “, which will be held in Tyumen” and forum “Polymers of Asia”, which will gather in Almaty leading representatives of the market. Now, the details.

Oil and gas in Tyumen

From September 19 to September 22, the specialized exhibition “Oil and Gas. Fuel and energy complex 2017 “.

The oil and gas complex of the Tyumen region makes a decisive contribution to the uninterrupted supply of domestic and export supplies. Here, 67% of oil is extracted and 91% of natural gas from the all-Russian volume. The main reserves are concentrated in the northern autonomous regions, but also in the southern regions hydrocarbon resources – up to 2.5 billion tons. An important direction of the new stage of development is the formation of branches of deep processing of raw materials: the production of petroleum products, and petrochemical production.

Annually the exhibition gathers more than 200 exhibitors. For more information, click here.

Polymers of Central Asia 2017

A large-scale event, directly dedicated to the current state and prospects for the further development of the polymer industry in the Central Asian region will be held at the end of September in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

The company INVENTRA (the organizer of the event) in its announcement notes that the countries of Central Asia have an ambitious task – to proceed to deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials. However, there are problems with the large-tonnage production of polymers: the announced projects are still at the stage of search for investors.

The domestic consumption market is completely dependent on imports, mainly tied to Russian exporters. In particular, such a promising market as Kazakhstan has a fertile ground for the creation of joint projects, which is already actively used by representatives of companies from East Asia and the Middle East. Investment activity creates a powerful reserve for the future: the owner of capital will be able to dictate terms to the markets of consumption and sales. In the long term, Russia can not only lose these markets, but also get a serious competitor in the border regions. In order not to be in a similar situation, it is already necessary today to deepen the relationship between Russian business and enterprises of the Central Asian region.

Themes proposed for discussion within the framework of the program of the Forum “Polymers of Central Asia 2017”:

Overview of the market of polymers and products of their processing in Central Asia: prices, trends, potential, opportunities.
Investment attractiveness. What investments are needed to implement projects for the production of polymers and products of their processing? Existing tools for attracting industrial and private investment, the role of the state and banking structures.
Recycling. What capacities are planned for launch in the short term? Difficulties encountered by existing manufacturers in selecting raw materials and equipment, how to avoid them in the future?
Consumption of polymers. Status and prospects for the development of major segments: construction, infrastructure, automotive, packaging and consumer goods.

It should be noted that last year, such prominent companies as Sabic Turke, SDT GROUP, STYROLUTION, SIA POLYSTYLEX, Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat, Polyplastic Group, TD Ecopolymers, Kazanorgsintez, Kazcentrielectroprovod, Neftekhim LTD, Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, Polymer Production, Sayanskkhimplast, SIBUR, Ufaorgsintez.
