Information about the fire was confirmed in the management of the State Service for Emergency Situations of Ukraine in the Poltava region, reports UNIAN.

May 28 at 13:25 in the Rescue Service “101” received a report on the fire at the Poltava municipal landfill of solid household waste in the village of Makukhovka, Poltava region. Rescuers, who arrived at the call, found that garbage was burning on an area of ​​0.015 hectares.

“The fire fighting works are continuing, there are no injured and dead people, the cause of the fire is now being established,” the department noted.

One of the reasons for the collapse of garbage in the Gribovichi dump, which resulted in the rubble were three people, could be a large amount of water, which poured firefighters during the extinguishing.
