The November contract price of propylene in Europe was agreed at EUR30 per tonne higher than the price in October. Nevertheless, some European manufacturers announced prolongation October export prices of polypropylene (PP) in the current month for the markets of the CIS countries, according to a price review ICIS-MRC.

Negotiations on the November level of prices for European PP began last week, but due to the prolonged holidays and during the current week. Many market participants have concluded that the part of European producers announced the extension of the October export prices for polypropylene deliveries in November. Some manufacturers, on the contrary, announced the reduction of export prices.

This week the transaction concerning the November supply of propylene homopolymer (PP-homo) are discussed in a fairly large range EUR960-1 060 per tonne, FCA, while the previous month deals were in the range EUR980-1 060 per tonne, FCA.

As in the past month, some producers still have restrictions on the shipment of PP-homo, in particular, due to the power interruption. We are talking about producers from Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Transactions regarding supply are discussed in EUR1 050-1 150 range of block copolymers of propylene (PP block) per tonne, FCA, that an average of EUR30 per tonne below the October level. Negotiations for October shipments stat-propylene copolymer (PP-random) are conducted within EUR1 090-1 160 per tonne, FCA.
