The contract prices of styrene monomer in Europe were agreed at the level of EUR1,360 per tonne for September deliveries, which is EUR190 per ton higher compared to the previous month, ICIS was informed by several sellers and buyers on the market.
The contract price was agreed on the terms of delivery of FOB Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA).
As reported by MRC, the contract prices of styrene monomer in Europe were agreed at the level of EUR1,170 per tonne in August, which is EUR30 per ton lower compared to July.
And July prices of styrene monomer in Europe were agreed at the level of EUR1,200 per tonne FOB ARA, which is EUR27.5 per ton higher than June.
Styrene is the main raw material component for the production of polystyrene (PS).
According to the ScanPlast of the Market Report company, in July 2017 for export from Russia 7,470 tons of PS and styrene plastics were shipped. Thus, the export of high-impact polystyrene (PCS / M) -polystyrene for general use (PSS / M) amounted to 5.49 thousand tons.
