Since the middle of may, when prices reached its upper limit, the value of the Homo-polymer PP in the region of South-East Asia fell to $214/ton. A trader based in Vietnam, said they do not plan to make new purchases, despite receiving lower sentences in Indian and middle Eastern PP: “We think that prices will fall by an additional $100-150/ton in the coming weeks and therefore do not wish to restock. Demand is limited, as most of the handlers are also delaying their purchases in anticipation of further price reductions”.
Dealer offering Thai material Indonesia and Vietnam, commented: “We were hoping to close more deals in Indonesia after Ramadan, but the buyers are there still hesitate before shopping, and even though we have lowered our prices”.
