Spot prices of polypropylene (PP) in Europe fell against the backdrop of receipt of new volumes of imports at lower prices, according to ICIS.
One customer said he received a price quote on a PP homopolymer (PP-homo) in the range of EUR910-920 per ton with delivery towards the end of the year, DDP (delivery to the payment of customs duties).
While the upper price range of import homo-PP is on the level of EUR900 per ton, FD NWE (North-East Europe).
Demand for the polymer in the fourth quarter are now dependent on inventory levels and some buyers hold regular suppliers to get the year-end discounts.
In Russia, the spot prices of PP last week remained unchanged. In the south of the deal for the supply of Turkmen PP-homo raffia grade offered in a range of 83 500-84 500 rub. per ton, including VAT, FCA Astrakhan (fell logistics). Market participants reported about the arrival of another batch of Turkmen PP this week. Russian producers kept prices in the range of 87 000-88 500 rub. per ton, including VAT and delivery. In Siberia, the Volga region and the deal for the supply of PP-homo raffia grade consisted in the range of 87 000-88 500 rub. per ton, including VAT and delivery.
