The contract prices of styrene monomer in Europe were agreed at the level of EUR1,160 per tonne for November supplies, which is EUR90 per ton lower compared to the previous month, several sellers and buyers on the market told ICIS.

The contract price was agreed on the terms of delivery of FOB Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA).

Styrene is the main raw material component for the production of polystyrene (PS).

According to the Price Review of ICIS-MRC, in the Russian market, according to one of the leading producers, the current level of market prices for PS is the maximum. In November, the cost of the Russian PS may slightly decrease. Last week, the price situation on the market for high-impact polystyrene (PSU / M) and general-purpose polystyrene (PCS / M) remained unchanged compared to the previous week. Purchasing activity, in general, on the market is estimated as normal.
