The March contract price of ethylene in Europe was agreed at EUR20 per tonne lower than in February. Nevertheless, some European manufacturers prolonged the March February export prices of polyethylene pipe (HDPE) for the CIS markets.

Negotiations on the March supply pipe IPA CIS markets ended last week. Many market participants reported maintaining export prices for European producers at the level of February for the PE100 grade, despite the decline in ethylene prices. While polyethylene pipe PE80-class fell to EUR30 per tonne.

Transactions for March shipment PE80 concluded in the first two weeks of March in the range of EUR1 200 – 1 230 per tonne, FCA, while February’s deals were in the range 230-1 EUR1 260 per tonne, FCA.

Transactions concerning the supply PE100 were to EUR1 230 range – 1 280 per tonne, FCA, which corresponds to the February price level
