The contract price of styrene monomer in Europe was agreed at the level of EUR1 310 per ton for October deliveries, which is EUR70 per ton lower compared to the previous month, ICIS reported on Monday citing confirmation from two sellers and two buyers in the market.
The contract price was negotiated on delivery terms free on board (FOB) Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA).
Earlier it was reported that the September contract price of styrene monomer in Europe was agreed at the level of EUR1 380 per ton, which is EUR65 per ton higher than the level of August.
Styrene is the main raw material component for the production of polystyrene (PS).
