It can process from 50 to 150 kg of plastic debris per hour
To consider the possibility of using the development of Buryat scientists, the acting head of Buryatia Aleksei Tsydenov instructed the Ministry of Natural Resources of the republic.
On July 8, 2017, the Council for Science and Innovation, Alexei Tidenov, was told about a unique resource and energy-saving technology for processing man-made, solid household and medical waste using plasma-energy processes, the press service said. Head of the republic.
Technology under the guidance of professor SAGUTU Sergey Buyantuev was developed in the laboratory of plasma technologies.
“The main unit in this technology is the plasma reactor developed by us, in which almost all materials are melted, obtaining useful composites from them,” Sergey Buyantuyev told about his invention.
Scientists suggested using a mobile unit in places of mass gathering of wild tourists, where the largest amount of plastic debris accumulates. The plant is capable of operating from 50 to 150 kg of garbage per hour, while the harmful gases released during combustion are decomposed under high temperatures into harmless components that enter the atmosphere.
Scientists also proposed to use stationary plants, which, along with the destruction of harmful waste, can give out the heat for heating residential houses.
Successful testing of the installation was carried out in the town of Gusinoozersk. They showed the efficiency and relatively low power consumption of the technology.
The plant can also be used for the destruction of medical waste, to the utilization of which the increased requirements are applied. While in the republic there is only one polygon for the utilization of medical waste, where a diesel-fueled plant is used. The cost of using it is extremely high, and a prototype from scientists at the plasma technology lab, running on electricity, can become cheaper in serving an analog.
“I suggest that the Ministry of Natural Resources, together with the Buryatia Ministry of Industry, work on the issue of medical waste disposal, we should try to put such a facility in a medical facility, and further test the utilization of household waste,” suggested Alexey Tsydenov….
