Russian scientists have created polymer parts that have good strength and excellent frost resistance, which can later be used to work in the Far North. The opening belongs to the researchers of Tomsk Polytechnic University.

It is reported that the impact strength of polymer-based composites that scientists have applied at low temperatures remains almost unchanged, whereas standard plastics in the cold become weak and quickly break down. Invented parts save their characteristics at a temperature of -60 degrees. Another feature of the resulting materials based on polymers: their enhanced resistance to ultraviolet radiation, the main source of which is the sun’s light. This is of great importance, because a number of polymeric materials under the influence of sunlight are destroyed. The invention of Russian scientists is able to preserve personal characteristics for a long time and under sunlight.
