As part of the import substitution Ufaorgsintez (SLD), is part of Bashneft, began production of a new brand of polypropylene copolymer (PP) – Balen 02080, designed for molding housings automotive batteries, the press service of Bashneft.

According to the report, experts Ufaorgsintez finalized and tested brand PP Balen 02080, which has been tested and found to comply with the requirements of manufacturers to the balance of stiffness and elasticity.

The polymer was developed by specialists of the ONU in response to the appeal of Russian producers of automotive batteries interested in replacing their foreign counterparts, which rose sharply after 2014.

As reported by the MRC, at the end of March 2016, Bashneft completed the acquisition of 19.04% stake in Ufaorgsintez CJSC “Sistema-Invest”. The deal amounted to 3.55 billion rubles. Thus, “Bashneft” obtained control over 21,505,000 shares SLD (19.04% of share capital), consolidating the full package.

And in mid-April 2016 it became known that Bashneft will technical upgrading pyrolysis production SLD, the beginning of which is planned for 2017. In particular, Bashneft chose SUE “Bashgiproneftekhim” to develop a feasibility study of the project on technical re-equipment of the pyrolysis UOSe.
