Kazanorgsintez (CBS, part of the TAIF group), the largest producer of polyethylene (PE) in Russia, raises prices for low-density polyethylene (HDPE) for supplies in May, according to the ICIS-MRC Price Review.

As the customers of the enterprise informed, Kazanorgsintez announced an increase in the prices of HDPE for deliveries to the domestic market in May by 2,000-6,000 rubles. per ton in comparison with the level of April. The PE for extrusion blow molding (EBM) and black polyethylene pipe of PE100 grade went up. The greatest increase in prices fell on pipe PE.

The growth in May prices of the HDPE is explained by the devaluation of the ruble and the rising cost of raw materials.
