Kazanorgsintez (CBS, part of the TAIF group) has stopped the production of low-pressure polyethylene (HDPE) for scheduled preventive maintenance, according to the ICIS-MRC Price Review.
CBS by the 28th of September completely stopped its capacity for the production of polyethylene (PE) for planned preventive maintenance. As the representatives of the enterprise informed, the simple capacities will be quite long, the full renewal of the production of the HDPE is planned from October 19th. Also, together with HDPE, part of the high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) production capacity was stopped for 5-day prophylaxis.
Thus, as of September 28, the capacities of the two largest producers of HDPE in Russia stand at the prevention: Stavrolen and Kazanorgsintez. Stavrolen stood on a two-month prophylaxis with the reconstruction of part of the capacities from September 16, the annual capacity of the enterprise is 300 thousand tons.
