Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem presented a new polypropylene resin (PP) at the K 2016, which is a more effective alternative for the production of foam. New Amppleo is a polypropylene resin of high melt strength (HMS-PP) and specially designed for the production of versatile and high performance foams.

According to Braskem, the new resin will enable the company to build partnerships for the development of new applications in the automotive and construction industries, the production of packaging and household appliances. The polymer can maintain the temperature to 100 ° C, without deformation, which makes it possible to obtain foams with a high versatility in a wide range of density from 35 to 300 kilograms per cubic meter. It also enables lighter products compared to other materials and provides excellent heat and sound insulation. Material 100 percent recyclable.
