Trinseo he hopes his new polymeric materials ensure the success of the company in the near future. Trinseo North American company in the first half received a profit of $ 172.5 million – more than four times higher than in the first half of 2015. Share price also increased to $ 56 in early trading on October 19, which is almost two times higher than the price on January 1, 2016.

New products introduced in Trinseo, include a new polypropylene based on 85 per cent of glass fiber concentrate for the automotive market. The company has recently started to produce the material at the plant in Midland, Michigan. The new material for instrument panels, door modules, interface modules, and the rear doors and other internal semi-structural applications which require dimensional stability sheet, heat resistance and weight management.

Company officials described the new material as “a step towards improvement and change” compared to the previous benchmark in the industry, consisting of 60 percent LGF concentrate. The material has a very high concentration of glass fiber for any compound PP, it is commercially available for automotive structural applications.

Another company material – Styron X-Tech 2175 – is polystyrene for household appliances. It offers a combination of increased rigidity and strength along with decrease in thickness and up to 10 percent savings in material for manufacturers.
