In turn, the spokesman for the Central Emergency Management Department for Tatarstan, Andrei Rodygin, told reporters that the incident occurred on Thursday. At the time of arrival, there was no open burning to the fire brigade’s call point.

“It has been established that the alleged cause is the violation of the technological regulations on the flare unit without subsequent combustion.The technological process is not violated.There is no threat to personnel and the population,” he added.

At the company, the Interfax agency has not yet commented on the incident.

As MRC reported earlier, the other day Nizhnekamskneftekhim completed scheduled overhaul of polypropylene (PP) production. Capital repairs at NKNK are held every two years. It is noted that this repair was characterized by a very large amount of work on the repair of the pump-compressor equipment. Over 40 electric motors and compressors were repaired in all departments. The repair lasted five days.
