The Ekoplastics company (Moscow) has agreed with the Korean manufacturer Hanwha Total to start deliveries to the Russian market of a new HDPE grade PE100RC. The Korean manufacturer Hanwha Total (formerly Samsung Total) in the summer of 2020 began exporting its new grade of pipe PE100 grade XRC20B, which will be supplied to the Russian market through Ekoplastics, which specializes in the supply of Korean innovative polymeric pipe materials.
The PE100RC polyethylene brand expands the portfolio of Ecoplastics polymers for the pipe industry, which already includes heat-resistant polyethylene (PERT), cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) and high modulus propylene block copolymer (PP-B).
Hanwha Total’s HDPE PE100RC XRC20B grade is supplied in the form of a black compound that is most in demand in Europe and Russia. In the near future, it is also planned to manufacture and supply blue and yellow compounds.
The new grade is used for the extrusion of multilayer and single-layer pipes intended for installation and operation in extreme conditions.
The completion of the certification process for XRC20B polyethylene in Europe is planned in 2021. PE100RC has a unique resistance to slow crack propagation, meets the highest requirements for this type of raw material, has a high quality weld and is easy to process.
