In the village of Schastlivoye, Borispol District, unscrupulous carriers have been storing Lviv garbage for a long time with the consent of the local village head and the local communal enterprise.
This was stated by a specialist of the State Environmental Inspectorate Sergei Volkov in an interview with Ukrinform.

“When the whole mountains had already accumulated waste, the utility did not come up with anything better than to dig a long-reclaimed landfill and dig new Lviv garbage into it,” Volkov said.

According to him, this led to losses of UAH 200 million from a local utility company.

“We and other inspectors went for a check. Now the case has been transferred to the Ukrainian security service, and the utility will be responsible for everything, which received fines and losses of UAH 200 million,” Volkov noted.
